Updates, News and a few Giveaways

October has been a busy month, so I'm going to keep this post short but sweet.

I heard from my publisher. ENTWINED, book three in the Embrace series, has a target release date of Spring 2015. I'm super excited to get the first round of edits back from my editor. My guess is I won't see them for several weeks. More time to finish that WIP. =)

Speaking of that, most my writing time has been devoted to re-writing my YA realistic fiction. I'm happy with the changes to the characters and the plot. I hope to have the first draft completed by the end of November.

Find me and a couple demon friends:

  4. Does having a target release date put any added pressure as far as finishing your revisions?

    1. Hi Ken. The target release date is decided by my publisher along with the target date when all edits have to be turned in. The good news is the book is done. Any changes made will be per editorial comments and each round of edits has a deadline. Sometimes, that can add pressure. It really just depends on how many comments/questions my editor has. I don't mind the deadlines. (I like having targets to aim for -- they help me focus.) And so far I have been able to meet them. I'm sure if something happened, like say the need for a major re-write, I could ask for extensions and the release date could be adjusted.
