Funniest holiday moment

I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I spent mine with family and friends and I think everyone was happy with what Santa brought.

The funniest moment this holiday was the family photo. You know the one where someone sets up a tripod, everyone huddles together, the timer is set, light flashes, and click -- that special moment is frozen in time forever. This year my mom could not stop laughing. Her laughter was contagious and soon we were all laughing. It took several tries, but we did manage to get a picture with everyone looking and no one cracking up.

Speaking of family and special moments, my mom gave me and my sister a picture of us with our great grandmother. I have very fond memories of Nona and I just love the picture. That's my sister on the left showing off the earrings she was trying on, me in the middle and Nona on the right.

What was your funniest holiday moment? I'd love to hear from you.

  1. We had a similar experience trying to take the traditional picture of all of the little ones. Out of about 25 shots, there isn't one where someone isn't making a crazy face.

Love the picture of you and your sister and Nona. There's just something about old pictures.

Wishing you a blessed new year!

  2. I spent a fun part of Christmas listening to my brother and his siblings talk about the crazy stuff they did when they were younger. I heard a lot of new stories.

That's such an adorable picture, too. It's fun having photos to remember things by.

  5. inluvwithwords - getting 25 little ones to sit long enough for one picture is a great feat and you have 25! I'm impressed. Maybe you can photoshop the best ones together. ;)

Jenna, I love when everyone starts talking about what they did when they were young. It's the best stories!

Christine, your son is too cute :)

Angela, house hopping is always fun. I haven't had to do that for many years now.

I do love the picture of my Nona. I smile every time I walk by it.

  6. That's such a sweet picture. I like the way your sister is showing off her earrings :).

My funniest moment was a little before Christmas when I'd taken some Christmas trees, made from green card, over to my sister's for my nephews to decorate. I asked them would they like their own tree, and the youngest (two and a half) looked puzzled and said they already had a Christmas tree :D. Bless!

  9. Lots of fun this holiday with the three kids! Not sure what funny stuff happened, but knowing our family I'm sure something goofy happened!
I had to do a double take with your photo, because your great grandmother resembles my grandmother quite a bit!
